The mobile county award is an award that members can
earn by working mobile stations in different U.S. Counties,
and Mobile stations can earn the award by working base
stations, while the mobile station is in different counties.
This award consists of 3 different certificates. One for
working the same mobile, one for working any mobile, and one
for mobiles working base stations.
- There is no starting date for this award, meaning you can go back in your
logs as far as you want for mobile contacts.
- Base stations work mobile stations in 100 different counties.
- Work the same mobile station in 100 different U.S. Counties,
or work different mobile stations in 100 separate U.S. Counties
- You can not count the same county twice, no matter how many mobiles you work in that county.
- Mobiles work the same base station from 100 different U.S. Counties, or work different base
stations from 100 different counties. Mobiles can not count the same county more than once,
no matter how many base stations they work from that county
- Non Member contacts can be used for this award, but only OMISS members may apply for the award.
- contacts made only on OMISS net times and Frequencies will be allowed.
Endorsements:
- Every additional 100 counties worked
- Single band endorsements.
On your work sheets PLEASE sort the contacts by state 2 letter designation,
AK-WY, then sort the counties by alphabetical order within the state. This helps the
Awards Manager verify counties and to see that there are no duplication of counties
